Strategies for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Summertime is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing and booking the perfectrental:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. A Place At The Beach 322, Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
