Our top Crystal Coast rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to select the perfect rental home in Indian Beach:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Waterfront condo with shared pool, gym & game room, close to everything has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
