Booking the best Crystal Coast vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Crystal Coast area:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Walking Distant to Beach & Gorgeous Sound View w\/ Marina Access has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is best for your family.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
