Booking the best Crystal Coast rental home experience:

When to visit Indian Beach & When to book:

  • To get the largest rental within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Crystal Coast restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Renovated Colony by the Sea condo with oceanfront views & direct beach access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
