Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing your Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Living- Spectacular Beach & Pool Views! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast beach you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for a great stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
