Beaufort Historic Site and Core Creek Bridge are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Maritime Museum and Mount Maker Charters. Traveling with kids?   • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance.   • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it.
