Getting the best Crystal Coast rental home experience:

When to book a Crystal Coast rental & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • To start, have your family select the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Carolina Can ~ ????? 3 Story Family Home ???? 1 row back with amazing ocean views ???? has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
