Tricks and tips to get the very best Crystal Coast vacation home experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Book your rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
