Snapperz Grill & Steam Bar is a solid destination for a little Crystal Coast vacation atmosphere – an environment which perfectly complements a varied menu chock-full of seasonal and local seafood specialties. The restaurant is decked out in beachy décor and furnishings, which includes a new “Boat Bar” that looks like a long dinghy and is called, affectionately, the Harper Grace.
In addition, the bar area doubles as a spot for the night owl crowd, with seasonal live acoustic music to accompany dinner, or a little weekend karaoke with a cold beer or cocktail.
The menu is just as fun and coastally inspired, with a wealth of burgers, sandwiches, and locals seafood that’s available all year-long. There’s a special gluten-free menu as well as veggie selections, and beach lovers will be tempted by the wide selection of fresh seafood fare including Crystal Coast crab cakes, Bahamian fish tacos, and fried seafood platters, complete with hushpuppies and crispy cole slaw.
There are plenty of dishes for the meat-eaters and bar crowd too, including steaks and hearty appetizers, (which includes a decadent variety of nachos), and everyone will appreciate the laid-back atmosphere that perfectly complements any day on the beach.
Live music and seafood specials are typically seasonal, and readily available in the summer months.

Lawson Creek Park is an active destination that's suitable for nature lovers and outdoors fans of all genres. Encompassing a massive 140 acre site surrounded by the waters of Lawson Creek and Trent River, this park is a perfectly scenic locale that feels worlds away from the rest of Eastern North Carolina, but still has ample amenities to keep its more active visitors hard at play.
Resembling a cross between a train depot and a mariner's port, The History Place is certainly an excellent first stop for anyone who wants to learn a little more about the fascinating inland and barrier island history that is found in abundance along the Crystal Coast.
Sound of the Sea North 212 is a 2-level Almost Oceanfront 2 Bedroom 1.5 Bath Townhouse Condo in the Sound of the Sea Community.Bedroom #1 has a king pillowtop bed, a 36 inch TV, and a private deck with an unobstructed ocean view. Bedroom #2 has a queen pillowtop bed and a twin/double bunk set. The deck off the family room has the same pretty view of the Atlantic with a bar-height table and chairs. The sitting room has a 48 inch Widescreen TV with Blu Ray DVD player, cable. Wireless High Speed Internet. A secure outdoor storage room is located on the ground level for convenience in storing your beach and pool items! All outdoor and beach paraphernalia are to be kept here. Feel complimentary to use the items in the storage room. For the not-so-sunny days, there are plenty of games, movies, and books to appreciate indoors.The Sound of the Sea Community offers on-site amenities sure to make your vacation fun and calming while the location provides simple access to many eateries, grocery stores, water park, mini golf, and unique stores!Community Conveniences: Gated Community, Two Outdoor Pools, Pool House, Outdoor Showers, Outdoor Grille Area, Tennis Facilities, Community Private Walkway to the Beach, Building Elevators, and No Smoking on Premises. Bluewater cannot guarantee Complex/Community Conveniences will be in service during the time of your stay.PARKING INFORMATION: Each reservation will receive 2 Gate Cards and 2 Parking Passes - Parking for 1 car at unit, 1 in general parking. 2 cars max - Sound of the Sea does not have overflow parking.
