For nearly 50 years, the small coastal community of Newport comes to vivid life with a holiday tradition that visitors of all ages will love. The annual Newport Christmas Parade is a community-wide celebration that features plenty of floats, music, and other surprises that will delight and wow the crowd, and will put everyone in the holiday mood.

The parade takes place in the heart of Newport, which is a small coastal community that is located just inland of the barrier island beach towns of Emerald Isle, Pine Knoll Shores, and Atlantic Beach. As such, the town of Newport is easy to reach for visitors staying throughout the Crystal Coast, and is an undiscovered treasure for folks who want to explore all of the southern Outer Bank, inside and out. Though the participants in the parade vary every year, spectators can expect to see plenty of local businesses and organizations, schools, community groups, and more, as well as an appearance by Santa himself. Free to the public, with plenty of parking in the surrounding area, the Newport Christmas Parade is a fun and festive holiday celebration that will bring plenty of holiday cheer to local Newport residents and visitors alike.
