Young kids and lifelong fishermen alike are welcome for a great adventure off North Carolina’s shores with Emerald Isle Adventures. Captain Roy Heverly was raised on the pier here at Emerald Isle as his parents owned and ran it - you really couldn’t be in better hands here!
Captain Roy only invests in the best gear which is why he’ll be taking you out on a brand new, custom-built, 27’ Sabalo, that comes with all the kit to get the job done. Its got a 300 HP Yamaha 4 stroke engine that can take you up to 40 knots meaning you can start fishing in no time at all.
Like all experienced fishermen, Captain Roy tends to listen to the weather when he’s taking you out. His knowledge of the area means that he’s always got an idea up his sleeve, whatever the weather may be. When you’re fishing with Roy you’ll mainly target the likes of Amberjack, Bonito, Cobia, and Mahi Mahi on your trip through North Carolina’s waters.
On these trips you’ll use live, bait which the captain will provide before or during the trip. When that live bait pulls in some big live fish, he’ll clean them for you if it’s not something you’re used too. As well as this, you don’t need to get yourself a license as he has you covered.
You’ll need to take some refreshments as well as some suncream - no spray though - in your daypack with you. With these in hand, all you need to do is hop aboard and allow Roy to take you to some of the best fishing spots on North Carolina’s coast!
